Based around Bath, Frome and Trowbridge, the business is run by Graham Madill, a designer and landscaper with twenty years' experience in horticulture. Ten of those were spent working at Kew Gardens where he was involved in the restoration of the Grass Garden, and was responsible for redesigning the Duke's Garden, creating a range of displays with themes based on plant hardiness, drought tolerance, foliage characteristics and seasonal interest.

Prior to setting up Hinton Garden Design, Graham worked with designers and landscapers in London and here in the South West. Recent projects include several town and courtyard gardens, a wildflower meadow and hedge using native plants to attract wildlife and a gravel garden and pond. Graham is currently designing an Italianate garden.
